Sibling Love

It amazes me how close Clara and Harrison are even though they have barely known each other for 6 months.  She adores him and he equally adores her!  She will smile and talk to him and his face lights up.  I can't describe how warming this is to my heart.

I love my siblings, but I have to admit that I feel that my kids love each other more than I love my own siblings. Is it that I love my siblings, but now that we are older I remember all of the "rough" arguments with them, or all of the times that my sister would drive me crazy because she would want to tag-a-long?  Whatever it is, it truly makes me realize how great it is to be a young child and enjoy the simple things in life.  As much as Harrison pulls Clara's hair (which is a lot), she never gets short with him when he does it.  I hope their pure love for each other lasts as long as possible.

Spring has Sprung!

We have been enjoying the warm weather.  It is so nice to have a huge backyard, even though we didn't get to use it much this winter with no snow.  I was hoping for multiple sledding experiences, but that never happened.  Oh well, now we are swinging, blowing bubbles, and chasing Wally.  This is a new backyard for us, as it was just fenced in last September and we have put the finishing touches on putting some wire fencing in the woods.  It's so nice to be able to have some privacy from our busy street and keep everyone locked in!

Harrison James Smith

Harrison arrived on December 8th at 3:59pm.  He was a healthy 8 pounds 7 ounces and 21 1/2 inches.  Such a big boy compared to his sister who was 7 pounds 1 ounce.
